Protect Wildlife & wild spaces

The goal of this website is to build a large community of individuals in British Columbia who are committed to supporting wildlife conservation through small, recurring monthly contributions. The site is designed to allow users to join the initiative, either for free or as paying members, and to grow a membership base that can collectively fund meaningful conservation projects across the province.

The platform will also be used to inform members about conservation efforts, provide updates on funded projects, and enable participation in a structured voting process where members help decide how funds are allocated to vetted wildlife and habitat initiatives.

About WTF of BC

The Wildlife Task Force is a community-driven initiative based in British Columbia that brings together individuals who want to support wildlife conservation, habitat restoration, and environmental stewardship. Members can join for free or contribute a small monthly amount to help fund vetted conservation projects across the province. The platform focuses on transparency, collective impact, and public participation by allowing members to stay informed and take part in selecting priority conservation efforts.

Upcoming Projects to Fund

At designated intervals (potentially annually or bi-annually), members would be presented with three carefully selected conservation initiatives that represent the most impactful opportunities at that time.

These could include projects such as:

  • Habitat restoration

  • Ungulate winter range protection

  • Wildlife population monitoring and scientific research

  • Migration corridor preservation

  • Post-fire ecosystem recovery

  • Conservation efforts addressing human-wildlife conflict

Members would then vote democratically on which project receives the allocated funding. The selected project would receive the pooled donations through the partner conservation organization.

This approach ensures that contributors feel directly connected to tangible conservation outcomes while still relying on credible organizations to administer the work.

Who Can You Help?

Anyone who believes in protecting wildlife and habitat in British Columbia can be part of this. This includes hunters, non-hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, conservationists, and everyday citizens who care about the land.

The goal is to bridge the gap and bring all wildlife advocates together. Regardless of background or perspective, we all share a responsibility to ensure healthy wildlife populations and sustainable habitats for future generations.

This is about unity, not division—and everyone has a role to play.

My Unbalanced Ecosystem series aims to bridge the gap between hunters and non-hunters by focusing on shared responsibility. Human influence has disrupted natural ecological balance, making active wildlife and habitat management essential. The Wildlife Task Force builds on this by turning conversation into action—offering people of all backgrounds a way to contribute to meaningful conservation.
